In the past week I’ve ridden in wind…and in rain… but this wind/rain combo is a bit much. Just saw Dorothy ride/fly by on her bike with her little dog in the basket.
This is me sitting in my office at 4:42 in the afternoon on the first really nice day to ride. Gonna be Mapping My Ride in about an hour! C’mon clock! Let’s get a move on!
I’m not usually a fan of putting up fences, but this one is pretty cool!
A friend of mine has a picture frame and decorative bowl made of old bicycle chain. Have you ever Re-Cycled in this way? Ever re-purposed an old frame or component? I would love to hear about it!

I’m not sure what it is I love so much about this picture; the ingenuity, the two frames welded together, the rusted-out gear set or front suspension, or just the fact that someone felt the need to put rear brakes on the thing! Who would need brakes? Have you ever used one of those mowers? haha! Kudos to whomever!
Bought my first pair of riding shoes! Can NOT WAIT to put them to the test…and fall over a few times.
It would seem Indiana has developed a fifth season. Somewhere between Fall and Winter (or perhaps between Winter and Spring) has developed a season of Cold Mud. At this point we are living in a constant fog; a thick, saturating mist. Ugh, it is absolutely horrible.
Its the kind of weather that seeps into your soul and grows mold.
So I made my way to the gym, set the stationary bike on “climb,” raised the level and rode for an hour. Dreams of warm, sun-drenched rides filled my mind. It was very enjoyable…
(in case you are wondering, the picture is NOT out of focus. The fog is truly that thick outside!)
